We are delighted to welcome Paula Bellizia, General Manager of Microsoft Brazil, to the iamtheCODE family as board member and champion.
Paula has led the Microsoft Brazil subsidiary, the largest in Latin America, since July 2015. She has enjoyed a distinguished career in marketing and operations, spanning 23 years, in a variety of industries including consumer electronics, telecommunication services and technology.
Paula began her career in marketing with Whirlpool in 1992 and after 7 years joined Telefonica as Product Group Manager. She left Telefonica in 2002 and began working for Microsoft as Small and Medium Business Sales Manager.
In her 10 years with Microsoft, Paula held numerous roles, eventually becoming Director of Marketing and Operations. Upon leaving Microsoft in 2013, she became Facebook’s Sales Director for Small and Midsize Business in Latin America.
Paula’s most recent appointment before returning to work with Microsoft in her present role, was as President of Apple in Brazil – where she lead operations for two years.
Paula attained a BSc in Computer and Information Science, with a post-graduate degree in Marketing from ESPM and an MBA from FIA USP in Brazil.
With an interest in using her skills to engage with social issues, Paula is a member of the Brazilian Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES), where she dialogues with the Brazilian government on policy issues. Paula is also on the board of directors of Arezzo & Co. and Brasscom (Brazillian Association of IT and Communication Companies) and the American Chamber of Commerce, Brazil.
Paula lives in São Paulo with her family and is passionate about championing the iamtheCODE cause by empowering and educating women and girls.
