In Conversation with Alison Adams and Childwall Valley Primary School Girls - The Power Of Building Sustainable Cities

Season 6: Episode 9

In this episode with the girls of Liverpool from Childwall Valley Primary School, Lady Mariéme spoke about the Power Of Building Sustainable Cities with Alison Adams, the new chief executive of ChristchurchNZ. Originally from the UK, Adams started her business career as a brand manager for Unilever after graduating from Cambridge with a first-class honours degree in natural science. She spoke to the girls about her life journey and what she loves about her work. Alison enjoyed talking to the girls. My co-hosts asked excellent questions; listen up and tell us what you think. Our learning this week is a quote from Marian Wright Edelman, President of the Children’s Defense Fund. She said: “Children cannot be what they cannot see. Girls need role models and people who can see them for who they are.”
