IamtheCODE is the first African-led global movement to mobilize governments, the private sector, philanthropic foundations, investors and civil society to advance STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship and Design) education. Its goal is to mobilize these groups to invest in future technologies that can drive sustainable development for women and girls in marginalized communities. We aim to enable 1 million young women and girls’ coders by 2030

The Role

Join iamtheCODE as our Programme Coordinator and play a pivotal role in empowering 1 million young women and girls globally to delve into the world of coding by 2030. In this role, you'll orchestrate key programmes, leveraging partnerships with global technology firms and educational institutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in STEAMED (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Arts and Design) education while working closely with our CEO to expand our global reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage and integrate diverse projects to meet organizational goals.
  • Maintain rigorous control of project budgets and adherence to business case estimates.
  • Ensure effective project governance and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the CEO and project teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Directly oversee project deliverables, timelines, risks, and issues, ensuring high-quality execution.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s in business or related field.
  • Solid experience in programme management, especially in an international context.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Suite.
  • Familiarity with diverse global landscapes, particularly in emerging economies.
